Product Description

High-Rigidity Cemented Carbide Wear-Resistant Positioning Jig
Product Overview

This product is specifically designed for high-precision grinding applications, utilizing cemented carbide (tungsten steel) as the core working surface material. It solves the common problems of traditional steel fixtures, which are prone to wear and accuracy degradation during high-frequency grinding operations. This fixture is particularly suitable for batch chamfering, surface grinding, and positioning clamping of cemented carbide tools, ceramic workpieces, and hardened steel parts.

Key Features
  • Ultra-High Hardness, Extremely Wear-Resistant - The working surface is made of virgin cemented carbide material with a hardness exceeding HRA 90 (approx. HV 1600-1800). Even under long-term friction with diamond grinding wheels or cemented carbide workpieces, the surface maintains "zero wear," ensuring consistent grinding dimensions.
  • Excellent Hot Hardness (Red Hardness) - At the instantaneous high temperatures (800°C-1000°C) generated during high-speed grinding, steel fixtures tend to soften and deform. Cemented carbide fixtures, however, maintain stable geometry and rigidity, eliminating positioning errors caused by thermal expansion.
  • Precision Geometric Tolerances - Finished by precision grinding and mirror lapping, achieving parallelism, flatness, and perpendicularity within 0.002mm (2µ). CNC wire EDM ensures precise alignment between mounting holes and reference surfaces, meeting the repeatable positioning requirements of automated production lines.
  • Low Coefficient of Thermal Expansion - Minimal deformation under temperature rise ensures that when grinding high-value tools or molds, edges do not suffer from overheating or rounded corners.
  • Rust and Chemical Resistance - The material possesses excellent resistance to acid and alkali corrosion, eliminating the need for frequent oiling to prevent rust (as required for iron-based fixtures). Suitable for water-based grinding or coolant environments.
Applications
  • Woodworking & Metal Cutting Tool Industry: Tip grinding (top and side) positioning for cemented carbide saw blades
  • Precision Mold Manufacturing: High-precision sine plate accessories or EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) positioning plates
  • 3C Electronics & Small Component Processing: Wear-resistant carriers for grinding phone frames or small stainless steel parts
  • Pre-Coating Treatment: Protective fixtures during sandblasting or edge rounding prior to tool coating
Material Comparison: Cemented Carbide vs. Traditional Tool Steel
Parameter Cemented Carbide Fixture Hardened Steel Fixture (e.g., SKD11/Cr12)
Wear Life 20-50 times longer (depending on conditions) Baseline (subject to rapid groove wear)
Temperature Stability Maintains red hardness, no deformation Softens at high temperatures, loses accuracy
Maintenance Cost Negligible Frequent replacement or re-grinding required
Abrasive Compatibility Suitable for diamond or CBN wheels Suitable for aluminum oxide wheels
Customization & Selection

We support fully customizable non-standard production. Reverse engineering and manufacturing available based on your grinding machine model (e.g., Walter, Deckel, Taiwan 6130 tool grinder):

  • Standard Series: Rectangular flat fixture, angled/sloped fixture, V-groove positioning fixture
  • Composite Series: Steel body + cemented carbide insert (combines toughness and wear resistance, lowers cost)
  • Surface Finishes: Mirror polish / Precision ground / Coated (to prevent chip adhesion)
Usage & Maintenance Recommendations
  • Impact Resistance: While cemented carbide is extremely hard, it is also brittle. Avoid dropping or violent impact against hard objects.
  • Cleaning: After grinding, wipe with anti-rust cleaner (although the carbide surface is resistant, the steel body typically requires protection).
  • Refurbishment: If grooves or marks develop on the surface after prolonged use, lightly grind with a resin-bonded diamond wheel.
