Tungsten Carbide Processing Materials

We would love to share that not only 100% virgin wolfram carbide raw material, but also the sintering processing matters.

Processing materials play a very important role in the sintering procedure.

Cemented carbide, as well as tungsten carbide processing materials mainly including

A, grinding medium,

B, forming agent,

C, contact material,

D, protective gas,

E, catalyst, etc.

A, Alcohol is used mostly as grinding media, whose advantage is low slurry viscosity and good dispersion of materials. In addition, there are acetone and hexane, too. Their advantage is good solubility for paraffin, and the forming agent is evenly distributed.

B, At present, mold pressing forming agent is most commonly used. It is mainly divided into three categories: rubber, paraffin, and polyethylene glycol. As an advanced manufacture, we currently use paraffin.

C, Contact materials are mainly boat pan, fillers and boat pan coating materials which are suitable for sintering together with the tungsten carbide powders.

D, The protective gases are mainly hydrogen, nitrogen and argon. Nitrogen and argon gas are used by our company.
