Carbide, Short for Tungsten carbide, also called wolfram carbide (WC), is a kind of alloy material made of refractory metal cemented carbide, and binder metal through powder metallurgy process by furnace sintering under Min. 2500℃.
Tungsten carbide is commonly used, Cobalt and Nickel binder are well received.
Tungsten carbide is a metallic compound formed by tungsten and carbon elements.
It is a black hexagonal crystal with a metallic luster, and the chemical formula is (WC). The melting point of tungsten carbide is 2870℃, the boiling point is 6000℃, the relative density is 15.63g/cm³ (18℃), the pure tungsten carbide is fragile, so adding a small amount of cobalt, titanium and other rare metals, can reduce its brittleness.
So, Tungsten carbide product has a series of excellent properties such as high hardness, wear resistance, heat resistance, corrosion resistance, good strength and toughness, especially its high hardness and wear resistance, has premium performance even at 500℃ temperature, and still stable at 1000℃.
